I met Sam in 2008, when we both were rolling in young, fashion circles. But her career eventually turned to music, where she was destined to be. But Sam isn’t one of those let-me-play-you-my-top 40s-Spotify-playlist DJs. She’s trained, she’s toured, she knows her music history but also knows what’s dropped before any radio station can play it out. And if you don’t believe me, you can ask all of the people who were dancing all night at a sold out Echoplex in LA. Or you can ask anyone at her 143 parties all over the world. Before her amazing humor, cute face, it’s her skill that speaks for itself. —Sarah Kim
