JenniLee • Stylist

The crazy thing about New York is that for many people, it's a transient place. There are plenty of house warming celebrations but there are just as many going away parties. Some people come for a summer and others end up staying for way longer than they expect. After her original five year plan outgrew itself, JenniLee is officially moving to California after sixteen years in New York.

I owe a lot to JenniLee. She once let me assist her on a shoot with Franz Ferdinand and I did horribly, just terrible, completely lacking the qualities it took to be a good assistant, (which JL details below). But she took a chance on me. After three year of working together at the late ANTENNA Magazine and listening to all of her great advice and insane stories including names like Lauryn Hill, Def Leppard and the late Heath Ledger, I had to make sure to tell her story before she left Brooklyn.

I spent some time with her on set of the SS13 Koolaburra lookbook and media campaign, her last job in New York before packing years worth of memories and getting ready for her move. —Sarah Kim
